 The Graphic-DMM is a new concept in mobile test equipment that allows PDAs, Notebooks, Tablet-PCs and all Systems equiped with a CF or PCMCIA slot to be turned into a dual channel Graphic Digital Multimeter with sophisticated analysis capabilities. .NET API
We have developed a new add-on for the basic CFD200 driver. It is an API for .NET / C# using PocketPC 2003SE or Windows Mobile 5. It comes with an example application and an enhanced class that simplifies using the DMM. Just set the range and get a result.

With the Graphic-DMM it is possible to integrate multiple measurement functions into a single hardware and software platform, providing high-level analysis features and a small, lightweight and portable unit.
The Graphic-DMM contains 2 independent Digital Multi Meters, connected to a Compact Flash type I interface. The DMMs are Galvanically isolated from the CF interface for saftety and the two channels also isolated from each other. Each channel has its own ADC and front-end circuitry.
This means that each channel is floating relative to the other, and to the host, allowing simultaneous measurement of signals with widely different ground potentials
The Graphic-DMM adds to the functionallity normally found on classic DMMs, in particular it allows sample rates from <1S/s up to 40kS/s on each channel and has a 1Mbit internal buffer (16kSamples pairs) allowing long data record depths and oscilloscope-like capabilities. Using host software it is possible to create a versatile instrument that can perform accurate DC measurements, display signal waveforms and allow triggering and data logging.
Software Support
The standard delivery package includes a Windows XP and PocketPC 2002/3 MFC (C++) dual DMM tool with following features: Digital display, Auto ranging, Hot swap, Fast readings, Speech tool which is able to handle multiple languages and graphical display of the data to both platforms. Both tools are based on a common library. The source code for both DMM tools are available on request to create special custom designs or to add special features. A high-level VB, VC/C++ driver including LabVIEW for PDA support is available on request (not included in the standard package).
